30-something family, primarily American, living in Mexico. Family speaks English, and Spanish. Looking for a female or male Au Pair. Our aupair will need to have a driver's license. Light housekeeping is not required, and we will not accept an aupair that smokes.

We are a American and Mexican couple, living in a small city in the State of Oaxaca. We both teach full time at a local university. We are both bilingual and our kids understand English, but as the community language is Spanish, we are looking for an English speaking AuPair to motivate the kids to speak English. We would consider a non-native speaker of English who has passed the Cambridge Advanced English or similiar exam. The hours would be from 1pm to 7:30pm Monday to Friday. We can provide a room, or you could live on your own. We have twin daughters and a baby boy who will need your attention during those hours. Our daughters also go to piano lessons and ballet classes during that time, and you can take them via public transportation.

Melissa is an American teacher of English who has lived in Mexico for almost 15 years. Marcelino is a Mexican mathematician who speaks English well. We have seven year old identical twins and a darling baby boy who is nearly two. We enjoy spending time outdoors and travelling around the region. We live in Huajuapan de Leon, in the Mixtec region of the state of Oaxaca. We don't eat much meat and grow some of our own food. We harvest rainwater and have tried to make our conventional house as green as possible. The air where we live is very clean and we don't mare it with chemical cleaners in our house. Books are an important part of our lives. We would love to welcome someone similiar into our home and would accept a student on a short term contract of a summer or semester. Or someone who is interested in staying longer. While our motivation is to give our children more exposure to English, I recognize this would be a great chance for someone looking to learn Spanish, and could arrange for morning classes with a local teacher.
