You will gain a chance to work for a premier facilities and infrastructure provider who have been awarded a contract to redevelop and optimise the production of two mature oil fields in Mexico, where they hope to substantially increase production.The company will be working alongside the national Mexican oil company, where they are currently redeveloping their fields over the next 20 years. The aim of the Reservoir Engineer is to provide high quality Reservoir Engineering work in order to analyse and optimise production. The position focuses on production and injection well performance analysis, diagnosis of potential problems, and the design of remedial and intervention programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and predict well behaviour, and conduct well and network flow simulation work to optimise production and revenue from new and existing wells. A knowledge of prosper, MBAL, gap, OFM, and PI or similar software is required.

- Ensure well testing and production allocation is carried out frequently and accurately.

-Write and/or provide input for procedures for well intervention work for chemical treatment and data acquisition, liaising with Drilling Services where necessary.

-As required, travel offshore as required to supervise well intervention work, well tests, and maintenance to Subsea equipment, ensuring all work objectives are met safely and in accordance with safety procedures.

-Identify and co-ordinate well flow sampling with offshore operations.

Candidate Requirements

-Spanish and English speaking bilingual.

-Relevant Engineering degree.

-Experienced mature assets production management professional.

-Ability to work outside structured processes.

-Excellent communication skills and team player attributes.

-Political awareness and ability to relate to international cultures and practices.

-Experienced management skills on large multi-disciplinary teams.

-Flexible and willing to be permanently based or on rotation in Mexico.
