Additional highlights include:
? Define global product strategy, including product profile, target product positioning, competitive pricing, branding and distribution;
? Identify and prioritize product development opportunities by collaborating with customers, area marketing groups, sales forces, clinical affairs and R&D to design Key Opinion Leader programs;
? Understand and prioritize customer value concepts, needs and importance through primary and secondary market research through 1-on-1 customer interviews, focus groups and web-based surveys;
? Drive the concept definition and product feasibility phases of the product development process;
? Develop and execute global product launch plans and sales force training in concert with area marketing groups;
? Manage product lifecycle from conducting post-launch reviews, assessing line extensions, managing pricing, etc.;
? Work closely with area senior leadership planning for variances in markets, regulations, etc. across affiliates and negotiating for the optimal mix of global consistency and local flexibility; and
? Hold business unit P&L responsibility.Skills/Experience Requirements? Assertive self-starter who possesses a high degree of self-confidence, intellectual curiosity, and demonstrates good executive presence;
? Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment;
? Previous experience with product development, marketing strategy, market research, business development and regional/international business;
OR
Previous experience with sales force management, sales force effectiveness, key account management, business development and regional/international business;
? Proven ability to identify or define business questions and issues to develop strategic, analytical and financial frameworks to conduct analysis;
? Comfortable working across functional areas, including R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Operations, etc. and at varying levels of the organization;
? Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management; and
? Preferred industry experience from pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, consumer packaged goods, and/or technology.
